Take My Yoke

ORDIN"Come unto me, all ye that labour
and are heavy laden, and I will
give you rest. Take my yoke upon
you, and learn of me; for I am meek
and lowly in heart: and ye shall find
rest unto your souls. For my yoke is
easy, and my burden is light."
Matthew 11:28-30

Studying this Command could not have come at a better time for me. I have been struggling with my walk with the Lord recently. This Command showed me that I have not been trusting in the Lord to take full control but have been leaning on my own strength.
When two animals are yoked up together, one is to be dominant and the other submissive. The Lord showed it to me like this, How can I (Lord) direct your life if you are trying to take over, when you are supposed to be submissive!

I'm sure most of you have heard the song, that goes like this: Obedience is the very best way to show that you believe, well I forget the part, action is the key do it immediately, the joy you will receive. I have been singing that song pretty ,much my entire life and never stoped to think about what the words really say or mean.
Thank you Lord for showing me how to get back your yoke, before you had to show me the hard way!! My Dad had me memorize this verse about a year ago and I think it goes really well with this Command: "But let it be the hidden man
of the heart, in that which is
is not corruptible, even the
ornament of a meek and
quiet spirit, which is in the
the sight of God of great
price." 1Peter 3:4

Please pray for me to continue to stay in the word, and equally yoked up to Christ:)
